I walked in to Lex’s room this evening and saw this atrocity! Arlo has attacked again. Every time he chews up a stuffy I’m always thankful it isn’t one of the Doggies. This time it was. 😕
Lex still sleeps with his doggie every night. I asked is I should fix it or just out it away, and he said “Please fix it Mom. I still want him.” Don’t have to ask me twice! I think I love the doggies as much as the kids do!
So, I present, Alex Doggie with his new nose job!
I know Lex will be happy when he wakes up. Not sure if he’ll be this happy though!!
You’re a good Mama, Tessa! XXOO
We moved from W. Concord, MA to Carlisle, MA when I was between 10 and 11. My grandparents on my Dad’s side had given me a teddy bear, one of the originals made in honor of Teddy Roosevelt. My uncle had been a classmate of Teddy’s son at Harvard and had visited the Long Island, NY home.
Anyway, during the move it “disappeared” and I have never seen it since. As a valuable piece of history, never mind the snugglyness, I would have loved to be able to pass it down. Given the turmoil within the families, it was a comfort to me, aside from any other value. Even now, it still bothers me sometimes that they would have done something like that.
