We spent another wonderful Thanksgiving with the family in Franklin. We drove down in a mushy snow mess, but that cleared up along the way and we ended up with sunshine and warm temps for our visit.

I tried all week to get a picture of this crazy tooth. Lex didn't want to show it so I had to take sly pictures.

Eve and I made a "thankful book" and had everyone write what they are thankful for. Eve is thankful for our neighbor's dog. :)

Eve wasn't much into basketball but she had a great time at the playground and bouncing on the picnic table, with Grandpa Tom safely by her side.

How do you know when it's time to leave the playground? Your child laying in the middle of the parking lot is a good clue.

We got to Skype with Joyce! Technology is awesome. We miss you Joyce!!! Wish you had been at the table with us instead, but this was the next best thing.

We spent a crazy long time throwing rocks and twigs and flowers into this culvert and watching them come out the other end. We were there so long the dogs got bored and went home without us.

Funny how things spark memories. While the kids were entertaining themselves with the culvert I started thinking about this barn and how the old owners used to light up this star every December. You could see it from miles around. I told the kids. They didn't seem impressed. I wonder if the new owners turn it on (probably not) and if you could even see it now with the amount of trees and growth in front of it (probably not).
I have a million things to do now. Lex had a classmate over this afternoon who did a great job of playing with my kids and keeping them entertained. He’s leaving in a few minutes so I’m back on duty :) I’m contemplating cooking dinner, for a change, but it probably won’t happen. I also want to a take advantage of a few online super sales this weekend, but that probably won’t happen either. Sigh. So much to do! :) Life is good.
