We did it! We ran a 4 mile race! I am more surprised by this than Alan :) He was a bit more confident. He’s so sweet he ran with me for the first 3+ miles to keep me motivated. It was fun. He started his final sprint before I did and we came in at 41:50 and 44:04. Hot and sweaty and happy! :) The kids were whining about being left behind, but they they were whining when the babysitter left because they were having fun and wanted her to stay. I’m glad we got a babysitter. The whole thing was a bit confusing (what with it being our first and all) and it was nice not to have to keep track of the kids as well. There is a half marathon in August that we may do a relay team for. They do 3.x mile, 6.x mile, 3.x mile legs. I can’t do the whole 13.1 total, but I can handle a 3 mile leg and maybe the 6 mile one. We shall see!

Hopped over here from Steady Mom and wanted to say CONGRATS! I’ve been thinking about starting to run in the mornings before my husband leaves for work, but haven’t quite convinced myself that running is better than a few more minutes of sleep. Lol! Maybe I’ll just have to start.
