Back in July I went to Chicago with my Syracuse girlfriends. The game this time was a Cubs game (they already saw a White Sox game in the before me times).
When I landed in Chicago the sky was hazy and the Air Quality Index (AQI) was 267! Sadly Canada was on fire. :( It got up to 500 later that night, then started coming down over the next few days. Thankfully!
We saw a Cubs game, saw an improve show at the original Second City club, explored the city, and had a great time catching up with each other.
Smoky skiesThis is what an AQI of 500 looks like at night. The front yard in our cute Airbnb.Green bean trees??Cheers!Game time! The smoky air made for some colorful sunsets.Chicago has some cool parks and architecture. This is a foot bridge over the highway. The Bean.Standing directly under the bean, looking straight up.A beautiful outdoor theater. I wish we’d had time to go to a show there.Adorable felt sheep! There was a whole street of them. The world’s largest Starbucks! (literally)We were going to go in, but there was a line around the corner and down the street, so we skipped it.So much going on in this picture. LOLSecond City!Another smoky night :(We had a lot of flight issues (delays, not accidents!) getting home, and I’m sure it’s because we were all flying on American Airlines, as was everyone else! The World Cup was in New Jersey that evening and everyone was heading East!
Good friends are hard to find. I’m fortunate to have so many.
