For the trip I downloaded Charlie and The Chocolate Factory from Audible. It’s read by Eric Idle.  We’re been listening to it for the past two days.  It’s a fun story, of course, and I keep being struck by how interesting it is that the kids don’t know the story. They have no idea what’s going to happen, no visuals of the chocolate river or the glass elevator soaring through the air.  They aren’t hearing the Umpa Lumpas singing in their heads.  Hard to believe, but I guess we were all there at one point in life :-) 

And have I mentioned, they are awesome travelers!!
