Three weeks old today and a big day for a
\n little Lex. We got his first pacifier, which took some getting
\n used to, but now he seems to enjoy it. I’m beginning to wonder
\n if maybe he wasn’t really hungry every 2 hours like I thought –
\n maybe he just wanted to suck. We’ll see how tonight goes. We
\n also started using a different brand of diapers two days ago
\n (right when he started getting cranky) so we switched back to
\n the first brand today to see if maybe that makes him happier.
\n We also bought size 1 diapers instead of newborns. The newborn
\n size is a little snug, so maybe that will make him happier too.
\n I like it when he’s happy :) <\/p>\n
In other
\n news, Lex stayed with a stranger for the first time today. My
\n Good Beginnings volunteer came over and Alan and I slipped out
\n for some alone time (well… dinner and grocery shopping, but
\n it’s a start!) It was a little weird for Alan and I, but Lex
\n didn’t seem phased. He didn’t even want the milk I left for
\n him, he just happily hung out and gazed at the volunteer (with
\n some snooze breaks in there as well). <\/p>\n
Ooohh.. what a fun kid! :) (Can you tell I’ve had a little
