{"id":9721,"date":"2013-01-22T20:52:01","date_gmt":"2013-01-23T01:52:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/familyblog.datdec.com\/?p=9721"},"modified":"2013-01-22T21:00:06","modified_gmt":"2013-01-23T02:00:06","slug":"all-better-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/familyblog.datdec.com\/?p=9721","title":{"rendered":"All better"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/familyblog.datdec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/wpid-IMAG0483.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/familyblog.datdec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/wpid-IMAG0483.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"835\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Just before they wheeled him into surgery.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Alan had his hernia surgery today.\u00a0 They found the hernia had grown quite a bit and apparently they found another one as well!\u00a0 They patched up both and promised us he&#8217;ll be as good as new.<\/p>\n<p>I dropped the kids at school then met Alan at the hospital.\u00a0 We hung out in the hospital room for a few hours until the OR was available.\u00a0 Then they gave me a pager and sent me on my way.\u00a0 I hung out, had lunch, tried to do some work, made friends with a teacher in the waiting room, and generally kept myself busy until they paged me.\u00a0 Order up!<\/p>\n<p>After the anaesthesia wore off we headed out.\u00a0 Home by 5:00.\u00a0 The kids went to an after-school program for the day and I picked them up once Alan was settled on the couch.<\/p>\n<p>I have no catchy ending for this.\u00a0 Sorry.\u00a0 Tired!\u00a0 Send warm wishes to Alan for a speedy recovery.\u00a0 I suspect he&#8217;ll be up and at &#8217;em in no time!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alan had his hernia surgery today.\u00a0 They found the hernia had grown quite a bit and apparently they found another one as well!\u00a0 They patched up both and promised us he&#8217;ll be as good as new.
