\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a> It’s raining this morning and
\n I can’t remember the last time I’ve heard rain beating down on
\n the roof. I guess it must have been in Syracuse when we last
\n were directly under a roof. It’s a great sound. <\/p>\n

Yesterday was a good time. We stopped to visit
\n a couple who was in our childbirth class. Their son is a few
\n weeks younger than Lex. I am excited to introduce Lex to other
\n babies. They sort of played together, but not quite. Lex was
\n happy in his own little world and Des just looked very dubious
\n at this other child playing with his toys. Lex drooled on
\n everything and we were joking that he was trying to mark his
\n territory and claim the new toys. Des’s mom, like many new
\n moms, is struggling to maintian her career and still be with
\n the baby. It’s a pretty amazing struggle. Last night I was
\n talking to Julie about that and she said that there are two
\n women in her office that do the job sharing thing and its
\n apparently working remarkably well for them. There are so few
\n offices that would even be open to that. <\/p>\n

Now Lex and I are up playing (and bloggin) while the rest
\n of the house is quiet. Today we’re off to do some shopping at
\n Target (wish we had one near us) and dinner at the in-laws.
\n Apparently its going to be quite the crowd. First clam chowder
