We
\n just got back from a long weekend in Franklin. It was a good
\n time. We had a long drive home though and not one of our better
\n trips, so now I’m exhausted. I know everyone is eagerly
\n awaiting photos though, so here are a few.<\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a> <\/div>\n

We went to
\n see Up in 3D at the theater. Our second attempt at the theater
\n and this time we made it all the way to the end! I don’t think
\n the movie is aimed at 2 and 4yr olds though. There were
\n definitely some scary scenes and at one point I took the kids
\n out for a few minute because they seemed scared. For the last
\n half hour or so Eve sat on my lap and asked every few minutes
\n if it was time to go home yet. But she’s a trooper and made it
\n all the way through. I wanted to take a picture of everyone
\n wearing their 3D glasses (everyone except Lex, who refused to
\n wear them) but the previews had already started and it didn’t
\n seem appropriate. So here is a picture of Eve wearing the
\n glasses while she “drives” after the movie. She liked the
\n glasses a lot and alternated between wearing them on her head
\n and on her belly, equally amused by both :)<\/div>\n

We had a lot
\n of screen time this weekend :) Here they are with Uncle B,
\n learning to play Mema’s favorite computer game.<\/div>\n

This is what Lex did all weekend and what he’s been
\n looking forward to for weeks now. Playing with the Hess truck
\n collection. These trucks were Barney’s when he was a kid and
\n Lex LOVES them.<\/span><\/div>\n

This isn’t a great picture, but I feel like it sums
\n up my photography efforts with Lex lately. This should have
\n been beautiful, trees, bright colors, etc, but he saw the
\n camera and did his paparazzi dodging move. Mom says maybe he’s
\n tired of having his picture taken (we must have many hundreds
\n of thousands of pictures of this kid by now) but I say he’s
\n young and had better get used to it! :) He says nothing, just
\n runs away.<\/span><\/div>\n

Eve, hard at
\n work with the markers. I wish I had turned on the video camera
\n here because she did some crazy moves in an effort to get into
\n a comfortable laying down position. She seemed to have the end
\n goal in mind, but just wasn’t sure how to maneuver her body
\n properly. It was hysterical. Anyway, she loves coloring with
\n markers. Notice how well she holds the pen? She likes to
\n “write” with little squiggles and lines. Lex does the same
\n thing and calls it his “fancy writing.” At this rate she may be
\n writing before he does!<\/div>\n

Like I said, lots of screen time. This time it’s
\n his Starfall games. They are good for his brain at least. I
\n just like his pose and ease with the computer, all while
\n sitting on a booster seat! :)<\/span><\/div>\n

We stopped at a diner on our way home for lunch. We
\n ordered at one table, were at a different table when the
\n waitress delivered drinks, and ended up at the counter by the
\n time she brought the food out. Luckily she was nice and the
