The midwife is
\n still unsure of the due date estimate though, so I get an early
\n ultrasound next Wednesday. Cool, huh? It’s gonna cost me a
\n fortune (crappy insurance), but I’m excited to see baby a
\n little earlier than originally planned. This early one will
\n allow them to set a more precise due date, then I’ll also have
\n the routine one at the 18 week mark. I’m excited.<\/p>\n
The neat (and weird) thing about this
\n pregnancy is that, because it follows so closely behind my
\n first one, I find myself a little less excited about
\n everything. Don’t ever tell baby two, of course! :) I remember
\n when we first heard Lex’s heartbeat Alan and I were so excited
\n and eager. This time around we knew what we were listening for
\n (the helicopter sound) and waited patiently. I even found
\n myself watching Lex to see how he’d react. I’m just as happy to
\n have another, but I guess the thrill of newness just isn’t
\n there anymore. Weird. Now the newness is how Lex will react to
\n everything :)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
The good news of the day is that there’s a baby in there with a good strong heartbeat.
