Had my 39wk checkup this morning. All is
\n good. Baby is strong, active, and measuring right on schedule.
\n She also said I’m 2cm dilated and “very soft.” Which doesn’t
\n mean a thing, really, since I went from 0cm to baby within 24
\n hours with Lex and some women stay several cm dilated for
\n weeks. I know a woman who is due just before me and she’s been
\n 5cm dilated for several weeks now. But, the dilation does
\n explain the funky feelings I’ve been having lately. I keep
\n getting flurries of activity in my belly. I’ll get a real
\n strong BH contraction, baby will start doing flips (probably in
\n protest of the contraction!) and then I’ll get weird pinchy
\n feelings in my cervix. Then things will settle down again for
\n awhile. Soo… I guess that means we’re making progress :)
