All is well. She’s eating like a champ
and weighed in at 7lbs 14oz (8lbs 3oz at birth, 7lbs 9oz at
discharge). Babies are supposed to regain their birth weight by
2 weeks and I suspect she’ll be there by tomorrow!

We are settling in nicely here. The first
night was a bit rough because Eve wanted to nurse every hour
and I was exhausted!! But I took a few naps the next day and
she slept much better the second night (milk came in by then so
she was more satiated). Alan took Lex to gymnastics yesterday
and we all went out grocery shopping in the afternoon. We gave
Eve a plug in the car and at the store. A little earlier than
recommended (they say wait 2-4wks), but I figured it would be
ok since she is such a great nurser. I mentioned that at the
lactation appointment today and was told that it was a-ok :)

Lex is adapting well (so far) to Eve’s presence.
He likes to point her out and poke her and he gives her little
kisses. We’ve taken to reading stories while I nurse. Lex will
bring his books and sit next to me and turn the pages. It’s
sweet. Sometimes he wants baby doll to read with us. Alan is
home now for a few weeks too, which is a HUGE help! I can’t
imagine doing it alone. He took Lex to storytime today and
takes care of the bathes and hauling Lex up and down the stairs
and all that good stuff. And he takes care of me :) We’re a
lucky little family.

I added a few
movies to the YouTube box down the side and here is a cute one
of the whole family at the hospital.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHxOzl28O50]

Eve and I went in for her 4 day checkup and lactation visit today.
