\"\"<\/a>Lex got a few board games for Christmas (Candy
\n Land, Chutes & Ladders, and Trouble) and he LOVES them!
\n He’s so funny. We play several times a day and he’s really good
\n at the spinning, drawing a card, popping the dice, counting,
\n colors, and moving (when he wants to), but what he really needs
\n work on is his focus. Last night we were playing Candy Land and
\n the game went something like this: Alan draws a card, moves his
\n piece, I draw a card, move my piece, Lex jumps on the
\n trampoline, grabs a card, runs over and tucks it \"\"<\/a>under doggy, proclaiming “doggy got a red!!”,
\n sits down and does a few little silly moves around doggy, jumps
\n back up on to the trampoline, a few more bounces, climbs over
\n Alan and finally makes it back to the board. Now, if he’s had
\n enough, he’ll move his piece to the next red square and the
\n game will continue. Otherwise he’ll move his piece backward (I
\n think he does get confused about forward and backward
\n sometimes) or he’ll put his piece ON the card over by doggy, or
\n use his piece to “draw” all over each red place on the board,
\n or do some other silly thing. All the while Alan and I are
\n saying, “Come on Lex, draw a card, move your piece, come back
\n over here, etc.” Then finally he’s done and Alan and I go and
\n it’s right back to Lex again. Needless to say, games take
\n awhile. But he loves them. Earlier in the evening they were
\n playing alone while I fed Eve and Lex ran into the kitchen to
\n show me each card that doggy picked. :) Remind you of a Family
\n Circus cartoon?<\/p>\n

Now a game we can all
\n play…<\/span>
I got a new camera for my
\n birthday 8 weeks ago and we’ve already taken 743 pictures and
\n movies. That’s a lot! Most of them of Lex and Eve. When I saw
\n that I was reminded of a comment my Grandpa made at his 80th
\n birthday party two years ago about how the number of pictures
\n taken of a person is the inverse of their age. So, the
\n challenge is to guess how many pictures we have taken of Lex
\n over the past two and a half years. Most of the more recent
\n ones also include Eve, but for the purpose of the game I’m
\n going to just say Lex since he was born. Now, I have NO IDEA
\n what the answer is and I’m not about to count every single one,
\n but in a few days I’ll go back through and come up with a
\n reasonable approximation. The person with the closest guess
\n will win a fabulous, wonderful, exciting prize… like a
