For the trip I downloaded Charlie and The Chocolate Factory from Audible. It’s read by Eric Idle.\u00a0 We’re been listening to it for the past two days.\u00a0 It’s a fun story, of course, and I keep being struck by how interesting it is that the kids don’t know the story. They have no idea what’s going to happen, no visuals of the chocolate river or the glass elevator soaring through the air.\u00a0 They aren’t hearing the Umpa Lumpas singing in their heads.\u00a0 Hard to believe, but I guess we were all there at one point in life :-)\u00a0 <\/p>\n
