It was great. Lex and I played,
\n did some tidying, went outside, played on the swings, did some
\n weeding, and ended up having a snack in a tree. Well, he had a
\n snack in a tree anyway :) He said he wanted to sit in a tree,
\n like a bird. He said he was a black bird, then looked at his
\n outfit and decided he was actually and blue and white bird :)
\n Definitely a bird! <\/p>\n
Then, for some
\n strange reason, he took the world’s easiest nap! We’ve gotten
\n to the point where he gets out of bed repeatedly until I “hold”
\n him for a few minutes, which results in me being
\n angry\/frustrated and him kicking and screaming. After a few
\n minutes he settles down and goes to sleep. This has become part
\n of the bedtime\/naptime routine, unfortunately. Last night,
\n after the screaming, I told him that I really don’t care if he
\n sleeps right away, he just has to stay in bed. We talked about
\n some quiet things he could do in bed, like singing himself a
\n song, or telling doggie about his day. He got right in bed and
\n that was the last I heard of him. At nap time this morning I
\n reminded him that he doesn’t have to go to sleep right away,
\n just stay in bed, and I had him tell me a few quiet things he
\n could do. I didn’t hear a peep out of him and he didn’t get up
\n once. I went up 1\/2 hour later to check on him and he was sound
\n asleep! Yay! Probably just a fluke, but I enjoy every easy nap
\n time I get. Then Eve took a nap 1\/2 hour later so I just had a
\n full hour with no kids! She’s up now though, so I should go be
\n attentive and what not. Actually, I think we’re going to try
\n for some grocery shopping this afternoon. I really don’t want
\n to have to do it Saturday morning!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
My little birds got up at 5:46 this morning – ridiculously early and probably before the rest of the birds!
