Lex has started a new heartbreaking habit
\n at nap and bed time. For some reason he recently wants someone
\n to stay with him (I think this started with the new, bigger
\n bed). Sometimes Alan or I will lay down with him until he falls
\n asleep, or at least until he’s really mellow, but this isn’t
\n always possible. I’m not sure it’s really ideal to get in this
\n habit anyway. So, anyway, the times when someone doesn’t lay
\n down with him he frequently ends up sobbing and wailing very
\n pitifully and saying, “no, don’t leave me mommy. don’t leave.
\n i’m all alone, please don’t leave me.” It breaks my heart. I
\n try to explain that Eve is there and I’m just downstairs, but
\n he doesn’t seem to care. It’s sad, but I know it’s just because
\n he’s tired. As a parent you can only hope that the decision you
