For some reason he recently wants someone<br \/>\n    to stay with him (I think this started with the new, bigger<br \/>\n    bed). Sometimes Alan or I will lay down with him until he falls<br \/>\n    asleep, or at least until he&#8217;s really mellow, but this isn&#8217;t<br \/>\n    always possible. I&#8217;m not sure it&#8217;s really ideal to get in this<br \/>\n    habit anyway. So, anyway, the times when someone doesn&#8217;t lay<br \/>\n    down with him he frequently ends up sobbing and wailing very<br \/>\n    pitifully and saying, &#8220;no, don&#8217;t leave me mommy. don&#8217;t leave.<br \/>\n    i&#8217;m all alone, please don&#8217;t leave me.&#8221; It breaks my heart. I<br \/>\n    try to explain that Eve is there and I&#8217;m just downstairs, but<br \/>\n    he doesn&#8217;t seem to care. It&#8217;s sad, but I know it&#8217;s just because<br \/>\n    he&#8217;s tired. As a parent you can only hope that the decision you<br \/>\n    make aren&#8217;t traumatizing your kid. :\/<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lex has started a new heartbreaking habit at nap and bed time.
