I can honestly say that we have the
\n world’s best kids, and they were on their best behavior today!
\n This afternoon we met Gammy and Popcube for a performance of
\n Good Night Moon and The Runaway Bunny, done by the Mermaid Theater of
\n Nova Scotia<\/a>. We weren’t sure what to expect with Lex
\n (we really never are) but he had a blast! They both watched
\n intently and behaved superbly! This morning Eve insisted on
\n underwear and went all day with no accidents! Alan even let her
\n wear them to the show, so we had a few extra bathroom trips,
\n but no accidents from either of them! (Lex has had a few
\n (dozen!) accidents himself lately) Lex even paid close
\n attention to the Q&A; session after the show and was
\n very interested in the lighting setup. After the show Grandma
\n invited us to dinner, so we all went and had pizza for dinner.
\n Lex sat patiently and colored while we ate dinner. Eve explored
\n a bit, but mostly colored with Grandpa and ate pizza. They were
\n so amazingly well behaved! On the way home we were debating
\n about attending a neighborhood party two doors down. We had
\n RSVPed, but the party had already started by the time we got
\n home and we were all feeling tired (I was anyway!). I asked the
\n kids what they wanted to do and they both said PARTY!! So we
\n parked in the garage and walked down the street. It was mostly
\n a grownup party, but they were super sweet. Lex circled the nut
\n bowl on the coffee table like a vulture, both eating nuts as
\n fast as he could and diligently defending Eve from the dangers.
\n Eve choose to sit by a cracker bowl and eat as many crackers
\n with “cream cheese” (turns out it was goat cheese) as she
\n could. Then we moved to the counter with the grapes and garlic
\n toast. Like we hadn’t just come from dinner. They both enjoyed
\n the cookies and we left before there were any tears. The
\n hostess was very nice and said “they are so sweet and
\n well-behaved, there’s no need to leave.” I told her that I like
\n to leave BEFORE the tears, not after! That’s the sign of a good
\n exit :) Anyway, we had an awesome day! Tomorrow afternoon
\n Alan’s parents are coming up to visit, so hopefully we can have
\n a repeat of the good behavior… although that may be asking
\n too much.<\/p>\n

\n which is her all time favorite thing to do. Whenever some else
\n has a crayon\/marker\/pen\/etc. she says “draw
