Lex had his first swimming lesson
\n today. Well, he took lessons one summer when he was 1yr, but
\n not since. Today we went to the Aquatic Center for swimming
\n lessons. He was super excited all day, but threw a fit when it
\n came time to leave. I threw him in the car kicking and
\n screaming and he settled down a few mintues later. In the
\n parking lot he told me he was feeling a bit sick. I asked if he
\n was nervous and he said “I just don’t know what will happen.”
\n Wise beyond his years. I told him we were just going to see
\n what’s going on and he didn’t have to swim if he didn’t want
\n to. Of course he had a blast! His class had five kids and two
\n teachers. I’m not sure I love how it was handled, but we’ll be
\n back next week to try it again. There were three kids his age
\n (him and two girls) and two older boys. They were divided by
\n size (age) but the younger girls were much more attentive and
\n Lex seemed more interested in the boys. The Aquatic Center is
\n new and they are definitely still trying to figure things out.
\n While Lex had his lesson, Eve played in the splash pool and
\n loved every minute of it. On Thursday we’ll be back for Eve’s
\n lesson. That should be interesting because I have to be in the
\n water with her, so hopefully he’ll sit still and wait for us.
\n Otherwise I’ll be paying $5\/class to put him in the childcare
\n room and hoping he likes it there :)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
