{"id":12001,"date":"2014-06-07T19:32:19","date_gmt":"2014-06-08T00:32:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/familyblog.datdec.com\/?p=12001"},"modified":"2014-06-07T20:09:53","modified_gmt":"2014-06-08T01:09:53","slug":"12001","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/familyblog.datdec.com\/?p=12001","title":{"rendered":"On a First Name Basis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eve recently discovered that teachers have first names.\u00a0 We were at a birthday party a few weeks ago and I was talking to the mom.\u00a0 I called her Rachel and Eve, who happened to be right near by, said &#8220;Ohhhh&#8230;. Mrs. B&#8217;s first name is Rachel?!\u00a0 Now I know!&#8221;\u00a0 Mrs. B is a sub at school and Eve was pretty darn proud of herself for knowing.<\/p>\n<p>This afternoon I was talking to Alan about a long-term sub position I applied for at Eve&#8217;s school.\u00a0 I mentioned the teacher by first name and Eve perked right up.\u00a0 &#8220;Who is Nikki?&#8221; she asked.\u00a0 I said, &#8220;Oh, that&#8217;s Mrs. R at school.&#8221;\u00a0 Eve was super excited and decided she&#8217;d better start taking notes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/familyblog.datdec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-img_20140607_193152.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"IMG_20140607_193152.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/familyblog.datdec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/wpid-img_20140607_193152.jpg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"600\" \/><\/a>Hilarity ensued.
