I have been totally stressing about my solo day on Friday. It’s my third and therefore I should be more relaxed about it, but for some reason I was really struggling to get my mind around a writing lesson. My mentor and I discussed the idea and it all sounded good, in concept, but I couldn’t quite put it into a plan. Until this evening.<\/p>\n
I was working on it and researching and stressing this evening while Alan was watching a Star Trek with Lex. When the show was over I went upstairs to cuddle with Lex (our usual routine). He was unusually still and calm, no coughing or fidgeting, and we snuggled in together. It was so nice and peaceful and suddenly my lesson came to me! Clear and fun and obvious. <\/p>\n
When it was time to go I told Lex what had happened and thanked him for helping me relax. He said, “OK, but I didn’t do it on purpose.” I told him it didn’t matter, his peacefulness was exactly what I needed. A little mental relaxation.
