in the preschool transition.\u00a0 Lex went from school to daycare.\u00a0 Sucessfully!!\u00a0 By that I mean no fighting and only minimal tears.\u00a0 We got to daycare around 11:20 and his group was playing outside until 11:30 while the younger group (Eve&#8217;s group) was inside eating lunch.\u00a0 Lex&#8217;s teacher told him to head outside and he just stood there crying, saying &#8220;I&#8217;m too tired, I&#8217;m just too tired.&#8221;\u00a0 She asked if he wanted to each lunch instead and he did.\u00a0 So he sat down with Eve&#8217;s group and ate some lunch then went and laid down for an early nap.\u00a0 I was very happy that the teacher was able to be flexible like that for him.\u00a0 I know it would have been a much uglier scene if she had tried to force him outside for those final 10 minutes.\u00a0 Yay for good teachers!!\u00a0 :)<\/p>\n<p>At school today he went to his first assembly with the whole school.\u00a0 It was about wolves, because that&#8217;s the school mascot.\u00a0 He said it was fun and he also learned about Red-Tailed Hawks, which are very big.\u00a0 :)\u00a0 He also decided today, his 5th day of preschool, to participate in the drawing project.\u00a0 The past few days he has brought home empty pieces of paper with just his name printed on them, but today he was super proud to show me the two drawings he did and I was super proud that he did them!!\u00a0 See how nicely he&#8217;s writing his name these days too.\u00a0 Yay for Lex :)<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1136\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/familyblog.datdec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/IMG_6405.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1136\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1136\" title=\"Lex's artwork\" src=\"http:\/\/familyblog.datdec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/IMG_6405-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"A maze (left) and an empty ice cream cone (right)\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/familyblog.datdec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/IMG_6405-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/familyblog.datdec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/IMG_6405-1024x576.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1136\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A maze (left) and an empty ice cream cone (right)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I have to start posting about Eve again soon.\u00a0 She has been driving me crazy with her silliness and monsters and early rising.\u00a0 On that note, I need to go to bed soon.\u00a0 5am comes early!\u00a0 I&#8217;ll post more on her soon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I think was our final &#8220;first&#8221;
