<\/a>Balloons. This is all he wanted for his birthday.\n He’s been asking for weeks if he can have balloons for his
\n birthday. We went to the party store yesterday and he picked
\n out six balloons and my parents picked them up today. When they
\n brought them in, he was thrilled. We should have stopped there
\n and called it a party.
<\/span><\/div>\n
We all crashed onto
\n the couch for some TV downtime and hoped that no un-RSVPed
\n guests arrived. We also wondered if Lex would still be in favor
\n of the canceled party when he woke up.<\/p>\n
After a good nap he woke up and I went to get him. Not
\n only was he still in favor of the canceled party, but he also
\n asked me to send everyone else home too :) He said “Mommy, I
\n just want to watch TV on the couch with you. I don’t want
\n anyone else to be here.” That didn’t happen, but he eventually
\n warmed up and we had a nice, relaxing afternoon. Some playing
\n outside, some swinging, pizza for dinner, bike riding, and off
\n to bed.<\/p>\n
<\/a>This is awesome!<\/span><\/div>\nThere is a lesson here that I
\n should have learned last year and hopefully learned this year.
\n Lex does not like birthday parties. He does not want 35+ people
\n celebrating his big milestones. So next year when I start
\n planning his party, somebody, EVERYBODY remind me of this day.
