(Lex, counting cylinders)<\/p>\n<\/a>From dinosaur bones…<\/p>\n<\/a>to exposed escalator parts.\u00a0 It’s a pretty cool place to be.<\/p>\n<\/a>These science guys enjoyed our visit.<\/p>\n<\/a>We saw an IMAX movie on the giant dome screen (Alan and I BOTH dozed off briefly!\u00a0 Awesome parenting, eh?)<\/p>\n<\/a>and sampled ice cream Dots.\u00a0 Lame.<\/p>\n<\/a>Last stop, of course, the gift shop!\u00a0 Both kids brought their own money and made great choices for souvenirs.\u00a0 Neither chose the glasses!\u00a0 Lex bought a K’Nex roller coaster<\/a> and Eve bought a butterfly snow globe and wire jewelled tree on a rock, exactly like Winona used to make so long ago! :)<\/p>\n<\/a>Since it was Saturday and the traffic wasn’t bad, we headed north when the museum closed.\u00a0 We stopped at Panera along the way for dinner.\u00a0 We washed the kids up and put them in PJs and everyone was cuddled up and quiet for an audio book the whole way home.\u00a0 Happy day!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
